Two warm, residential homes in Brooklyn Park and Brooklyn Center — where your loved one receives attentive, personalized care from people who truly know them.
Abundance Assisted Living was founded on a simple but powerful belief: every person deserves to age with dignity, in a real home, surrounded by people who genuinely care.
We operate two licensed assisted living homes in the Brooklyn Park and Brooklyn Center communities — each with just five residents. That intimate setting is intentional. It means our staff know every resident by name, by story, by preference.
We specialize in serving older adults, adults with disabilities, and individuals with mental health conditions — providing compassionate, clinically informed care within a warm, residential environment.
"My mother says it feels like home — because it is."

Families, case managers, and community partners consistently describe Abundance Assisted Living as the place where loved ones truly thrive — not just survive.
Every resident's day is built around their own routine and preferences. Here's what a typical day can look like in our homes.
Routines are personalized in each resident's service plan.

Paying for assisted living can feel confusing. Here's how the most common Minnesota options work. We accept CADI, DD and BI waivers, MA Room & Board and private pay — and we're happy to walk you through your situation for free.
Community Access for Disability Inclusion helps adults under 65 with a disability or chronic illness get care services in the community instead of a nursing facility.
The Brain Injury waiver covers community services for people with a traumatic or acquired brain injury who need specialized support.
The Developmental Disabilities waiver helps people with a developmental disability or related condition get the support they need to live in the community instead of an institution.
Waivers pay for the care and services (help with daily living, medication help, supervision). Room and board (rent and food) is usually paid separately from the resident's own income, such as Social Security. Some residents with low income may qualify for extra help with room and board — ask us and we'll point you in the right direction.
Contact your county or Tribal Nation and ask for a MnCHOICES assessment. If your loved one already has a waiver, their case manager can send us a referral directly. We work with case managers every day and can help with the paperwork.
Private pay covers room, board and care in one monthly rate. Rates depend on the level of care needed. Call us for current rates — there's no cost to ask and no obligation.
Many policies do. Coverage usually starts when a person needs help with two or more daily activities (like bathing or dressing) or has a cognitive impairment, often after a waiting period. Check your policy, and we'll provide the care documentation your insurer asks for.
Veterans and surviving spouses may qualify for the VA Aid & Attendance benefit, an extra monthly payment that can help with the cost of care. A county Veterans Service Officer can help you apply for free.
No. Medicare covers doctor visits, hospital stays and short-term rehab, but not the ongoing daily care and housing provided in assisted living. Medical Assistance (through a waiver), private pay and long-term care insurance are the usual ways to pay.
This guide is general information, not legal or financial advice. Eligibility for Minnesota waiver programs is decided by your county, Tribal Nation or the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
